“I can’t wear my birth certificate on my forehead…..”

Say, what?

When the media was his best buddy, President Obama was oh-so-polite and oh-so-pleasant. Now, when the economy is failing, unemployment is rising and causing misery for thousands of Americans, Iran is going nuclear, anything Muslim is okay as is illegal immigration, even the Lieberal Media is starting to ask questions. Obama has taken more vacations and played more golf than the times would seem to allow and yet, his spokesmen say he deserves a rest. A rest from what? Is he escaping the sea of his arrogant and bad decisions that are adversely affecting our country? Is his golf game suffering because he has to play at President every now and then…maybe even give a speech or two?

His spokesman, Gibbs, has always been lippy and arrogant in his brush off of legitimate questions, but both of them got away with it because……….Obama is the President. But, now, even Obama is getting chippy with his former admirers, the Media.

It used to be that Obama’s lack of experience was his principal fault. Now, it appears that his bruised ego is making him less than cordial when asked uncomfortable questions.

Finally, the real Obama is showing up.

The American tax payer is paying for this creep to travel the Muslim world to ADVANCE cooperation between the west and Islam.

And, what are his credentials? Why should he be a representative for us? And, what has he said in the past?

Well, his past condemns him. He spread the canard that the west has killed more muslims than anyone else. Hello. Does he remember Saddam Hussein who murdered his own citizens whenever it pleased him? Has he heard of Al Qaida, a terrorist group, who kill anyone who doesn’t accept their radical view of Islam? Has he forgotten 9/11?

We sure haven’t! But, maybe President Obama and the Democrats have.

Obama is NOT a true representative for America because he apologizes for everything American and attempts to please everything Islamic. Isn’t it time for President Obama and Congress to start protecting and defending Americans and the American ideals rather than trying to placate radical Islam?

Isn’t it time to throw out a congress that spends our tax dollars so foolishly?

Why didn’t President Obama “go nuclear” before Iran did? Well, he was just sooooo busy — vacationing…. playing politics…. chastising Republicans for having the gall to disagree with him.

So now, we are all at great risk because OUR President refused to abide by his oath “to protect and defend” us. Now, a radical society holds the key to destroy anyone they disagree with.

One more failure to add to Obama’s resume.

Is President Obama picture perfect? Well, someone must think so because it seems that every time I look online, or listen to the “news” on tv, President Obama and his family are traveling somewhere. And, of course, all this is at taxpayer expense. Why, even their dog flew to one vacation…..and, on a flight different than the rest of the family!

Usually, Presidents are elected to “do the people’s work”, but Obama apparently thinks he was elected to enjoy the perks of national office.

Guess it’s no wonder that the nation’s problems like– the oil slick in the Gulf, the sagging economy, the increasing unemployment, the heightened aggressiveness by Russia and China and Iran and even North Korea– are NOT BEING SOLVED. The President is ON VACATION!!! Or, maybe he’s GOLFING OR PLAYING BASKETBALL!

Picture Perfect? Hardly. So, vacation on, Mr. President, while the sky falls down on the rest of us.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5372266

My kids all know that I believe racism is NOT a color, but an aberrant thought process. And, although many minorities have lived through difficult times, traumatic experiences are NOT intrinsically a racist phenomenon. Our family has lived through many, many difficult times that I would say rival some of the stories told by those who feel they have been discriminated against. And, yet, no one rushed to our aid because we are “white”.

Or, are we? My mother was 1/8 Menominee and yet, to look at us, you would undoubtedly call me and my brothers white, not native Americans. Obama claims to be black, yet he had a white mother. So, where is the line that determines what COLOR you are? Judging people based on color is impossible because most of us are a delightful mixture of this ethnic group or that. And, this is why racism cannot be considered a function of color alone. While some racism IS dependent upon color, most racist thought is predicated upon a hostile attitude toward someone else and usually with the hope of gaining an advantage for yourself.

I believe that many of the problems attributed to racism in today’s world are a result of the welfare state imposing a burden on one group for the advantage of another. If one ethnic group is seen as taking advantage of another, of course hard feelings will occur. It’s hard to like someone if you believe they are taking your hard-earned money. Legislators have a vested interest in positing one ethnic group against another, though, and that is because class warfare can help their return to Congress. If you ask a hard-working American if he wants to buy his neighbor’s health care, almost everyone will say, “NO! Hell no!” But, because it suits a purpose, people like Obama and Pelosi and Reid continue to promote this idea that whites are to blame for the troubles of every minority. All too soon, this creates a “them” and “us” group who eventually will act on this them/us feeling. Then, you do have a form of racism.

Unfortunately, racism pays big dividends and has become a political football. Illegal aliens are now actually courted with promises of amnesty (despite a huge majority of Americans opposed to this) in order to gain their vote. Democrats support amnesty for Hispanics and, generally, conservatives feel the law against illegal aliens must be upheld. However, Hispanics are seen as a certain vote for Democrats, and thus, amnesty will probably happen — AGAIN!!! My best bet, though, is that amnesty will not promote the general good because it sets one group against another. It will create yet another, separate ethnic class and cause more problems for these people.

Racism has become a club to use whenever you feel you deserve something from someone else. And, some in the black community, like Rev Jesse Jackson, have perfected the process. He interjects racism into any cause that involves a black person. He has used racism and racially charged words to attack other blacks, too, but it is almost always in the cause of promoting the concept that blacks deserve more from everyone else. It would be refreshing if he ever launched one of his broadsides against a black person who hurt a white person, or even an Asian or Hmong. But, he reserves his venom for helping blacks only.

I am not saying there is no discrimination.

I AM saying that not everything that happens is racist nor are all racist events the result of white against black people.

It’s time for Congress and Obama to stop playing the race card because it suits their purposes. It is hurting America and Americans. We need to be a united people who HAPPEN to be black, white, Asian, or whatever, in ethnicity. But, we are ALL Americans.

Democrats and President Obama pledged transparency and an administration that responded to and united Americans. What we got is a divisive, arrogant, domineering, and unapologetically political action committee.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704293604575343262629361470.html?mod=WSJ_Opinion_LEADTop

Democrats and Obama have decided to override the wishes of the American public time and time again. Obama even appointed someone to head his new obamacare program as a recess appointment so that the difficult questions that would have been asked of the new “czar” can’t be asked.

Now, Obama is counting on even more subterfuge to enact what HE, Obama the would-be-great, wants. He intends to have the lame duck congress pass many new laws simply because they can, not because they should.

Is this what representative government means? Absolutely not. This is “misrepresentation” !!!!!! Is this what is meant by transparency in government? Absolutely not. These are blatant attempts to obfuscate and confuse, rather than clarify.

Is what Obama and the Democrats are doing about as clear as water? Absolutely not! In fact, just like the BP oil spill that they can’t seem to solve, Obama and his minions are simply muddying the water so the American voter won’t see what they are doing.

Time to find a new group of people who will truly represent American ideals!

Bad news for Obama: Conservative Justice Kennedy tells pals he’s in no rush to leave Supreme Court

BY Thomas M. Defrank

WASHINGTON – President Obama may get liberal Elena Kagan on the Supreme Court, but conservative swing-voter Anthony Kennedy says he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Justice Kennedy, who turns 74 this month, has told relatives and friends he plans to stay on the high court for at least three more years – through the end of Obama’s first term, sources said.

That means Kennedy will be around to provide a fifth vote for the court’s conservative bloc through the 2012 presidential election. If Obama loses, Kennedy could retire and expect a Republican President to choose a conservative justice.

Kennedy, appointed by President Ronald Reagan, has been on the court 22 years. He has become a bit of a political nemesis at the White House for his increasing tendency to side with the court’s four rock-ribbed conservative justices.

Without naming Kennedy, Obama was unusually critical of his majority opinion in the Citizens United case, handed down last January. That 5-4 decision struck down limits on contributions to political campaigns as an abridgement of free speech.

Every court case is based on the law. Unfortunately, Obama considers himself and his philosophy ABOVE the law. Justice Kennedy might be the best hope of our country to remain the country that we all know and love. I applaud his determination to support the traditional interpretation of the Constitution rather than let Lieberals alter the very foundation of our country’s law.

Now, THAT’s the spirit, Justice Kennedy, of the law.

Even though the bailout for the big “banks”, i.e. financial conglomerates like CITI, were funded entirely by other banks, NOT the taxpayer, Democrats continue to use banks as their ultimate scapegoat. As a small community bank, we did NOT cause the problem, but we ended up paying for it with higher FDIC insurance premiums and additional charges to “fund” the bailout.

Democrats don’t care. They have found someone they can blame and hold hostage and they intend to beat the horse, even if it’s dead. Hence the $19 billion tax they want to levy on ALL banks. This is going to further hinder small community banks, the foundation of the American financial system, from providing funds to some customers.

It isn’t a good solution. But, as I said before , Democrats don’t care.

They are banking on Bankers!
