  • Come to Jesus Moments

    Easter is the ultimate “Come to Jesus” moment. After all, a huge part of the world believes that Jesus died and rose from the dead on this day!

    Unfortunately, Google decided that Easter, the penultimate day of Christians’ year, should be remembered more for Chavez, a dictator who raped his own country economically and left Venezuelans poorer than before he ruled them.

    The media seems to give Google a pass……after all,  it was only one person’s teeny, tiny blooper.  It was not meant to be a statement by Google!

    Or, was it?

    It seems to me that Easter trumps anything else for such a huge part of the world that no one in their right mind would believe Chavez was more important than the Easter holiday.  Nor would anyone believe that it was a mistake, NOT a planned assault on the Church’s most important day of the year.  Google can protest all it wants, but there is NO justification for focusing on Chavez when the day belonged to Jesus and all Christians.

    So, boo to Google.

    Maybe Google needs to have its own “Come to Jesus” moment!

     

     

  • Obamaesque

    Obamaesque…..new word in the dictionary…..but, what does it mean?

    Well, if the previous 4 years are any indication,Obamaesque means:

    1-More dissension between Americans and much more wealth redistribution.

    2-More economic chaos as the Federal deficit rises and the GDP crashes.

    3-More taxes on the wealthy, i.e., the job producers.

    4-More “free” stuff for Obama’s supporters/lobbyists/donors.

    5-More world problems as Obama’s inexperience gives our foes confidence to ignore American values.

    6-More scandals as Obama’s appointees’ criminal use of official positions  surfaces.

    7-And, maybe a world war as American influence recedes and foreign dictators vie to fill the void created  by that failing policy.

    Obamaesque……means a world in chaos!

  • Biden, the Class Clown for the Democrats

    Other than smirking, giggling up his sleeve, gesticulating in a wild fashion, interrupting both Congressman Ryan and the moderator (who also interrupted Ryan), and, generally, acting like the class clown, what did Biden do in the VP debate?

     

    Well, he lied.  What a surprise.

    Once again, Joe Biden lied his way through a Vice Presidential debate–just as he did in his contest with Sarah Palin in 2008. This time, the media caught a few of Biden’s worst “malarkey” moments–as did his opponent, Paul Ryan, when he could get a word in edgewise.

    Here are the top ten worst lies told by Biden during the debate:

    10. “With all due respect, that’s a bunch of malarkey….not a single thing he said is accurate.” At the outset of the debate, Biden tried to paint Ryan as a liar–when Biden, in fact, was the one lying. Ryan had pointed out: 1) that the White House had distanced itself from the Cairo embassy’s apologies on 9/11; 2) that Obama had failed to speak up for Iranian protestors in 2009; 3) that the Obama administration called Syria’s dictator a “reformer”; 4) and that the Obama administration is imposing defense cuts and projecting weakness. All of that is true.

    9. “The president has met with Bibi [Netanyahu] a dozen times….This is a bunch of stuff.” While they have met several times–not a dozen–that includes a meeting at which Obama made the Israeli prime minister enter the White House through a back entrance, refused to take a picture with him, and left him on his own for dinner. Specifically, Ryan had criticized Obama’s refusal to meet Netanyahu in New York last month, and to tape talk show interviews instead–a clear snub that sent the wrong signal, again, to Israel’s enemies.

    8. “Just let the taxes expire like they’re supposed to on those millionaires.” Biden’s “millionaires” are actually households earning more than $250,000 a year, which includes many middle-class families with two earners, and small business owners in particular who report business earnings as personal income. Biden and Obama have repeatedly labeled those earning over $250,000 as “millionaires and billionaires,” distorting the actual impact of their tax plan on the non-millionaires it would hit hardest, who create a vast proportion of small business jobs.

    7. “You know, I heard that death panel argument from Sarah Palin. It seems that every vice presidential debate, I hear this kind of stuff about panels.” Biden’s cheap shot against Palin was an attempt to diminish both her and the man sitting across from him. But Palin never talked about “death panels” in her debate with Biden, for the simple reason that Obamacare had not yet been proposed. Nor did Ryan mention “death panels”–he had addressed the undeniable fact that Obamacare proposes a board to impose cost controls.

    6. “The congressman here cut embassy security in his budget by $300 million below what we asked for.” Biden’s lie about Ryan’s budget was an attempt to dodge responsibility for lax embassy security–and to cover up that the Obama called for new cuts to embassy security just days after the 9/11 attacks. Ryan’s proposal, which called for a 19% overall decrease in non-defense discretionary spending, does not even mention embassy security–the Obama campaign merely made up that number by applying 19% across the board.

    5. “No, they are not four years closer to a nuclear weapon.” Biden’s attempt to lie about the glaring reality of the Iranian nuclear program fell flat. Iran is indeed four years closer to a nuclear weapon, and the Obama administration–believing it knew better than its predecessors–tried to reinvent the wheel on talks with Iran, causing frustration to our allies in Europe and the Middle East. Meeting after meeting this year has failed to produce results, and the loophole-filled sanctions, while hurting Iran somewhat, are not stopping its nuclear program.

    4. “No religious institution, Catholic or otherwise…has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact.” No, it is not a fact–it is the opposite of a fact, and saying “that is a fact” does not make it any less a blatant lie. The Obama administration is forcing religious institutions to provide contraceptive and abortion drugs through their insurance policies. That is the reason several dozen religious institutions are suing the administration to defend their First Amendment freedom of religion.

    3. “It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card…I was there. I voted against him.” Biden voted for both the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war. He did not vote for George W. Bush’s plan to extend coverage of Medicare to prescription drugs (though he voted for an earlier, similar proposal), nor did he vote for the Bush tax cuts. But he voted for both of the wars he derided last night. To quote Bill Clinton’s speech to the Democratic National Convention: “It takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did.”

    2. “What we did is we saved $716 billion and put it back — applied it to Medicare.” Biden repeated the lie the Obama administration has been telling since before Obamacare passed in 2010: that cuts to Medicare today were savings that extend the life of the program. They would be–if the same $716 billion wasn’t also being used to pay for Obamacare. As Ryan pointed out in 2010, and again last night, you can’t double-count the same cuts. Taking $716 billion out of Medicare means exactly that–and hurts, not helps, the program’s solvency.

    1. “Well, we weren’t told they wanted more security again.” Biden lied through his teeth about the fact that the administration–specifically, the State Department–had been told again and again that security on the ground in Libya, and in Benghazi in particular, was inadequate. The day before, in Congressional hearings on the Libya attacks, former regional security director Eric Nordstrom described his frustration with having those requests turned down by the government bureaucracy: “For me the Taliban is on the inside of the building.

     

  • Obama — the Chicago Holligan………

    Chicago politics is almost universally considered to be the nastiest, roughest arena for any politician. President Obama is showing his Chicago roots in this campaign season.

    Obama’s lies: Witness Obama’s continual accusations against Governor Romney and Romney’s time at Bain.

    The fact is that the SEC, the Washington Post, and Fortune magazine have all said the charges are false. Romney actually was working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, on the Olympics, and, through hard work, saved the Olympics.

    Obama’s lie: Romney outsourced jobs while at Bain Capital.

    Fact: Romney attempted to save businesses that were in dire straits.  These jobs would have been lost entirely if not for the intervention of venture capitalists, such as Governor Romney.  While Obama used OUR tax dollars to bail out Solyndra, and other companies, which failed,  Romney used private money, much of it his own, to save American businesses and jobs.   Obama used OUR tax dollars  AND, several of the environmental companies which received our tax dollars were run by Obama’s donors and friends.  To date, Obama has outsourced many, many jobs with stimulus dollars which just happen to be OUR tax dollars!

    Obama’s lie: Romney is unqualified to be President.
    Fact: Romney is far more experienced than Obama was when Obama ran for his first term. Romney has been a hugely successful businessman. Obama has not. Romney was a governor. Obama was not. Romney saved the Olympics from financial ruin. Obama….well, he ran some community organizations.

    Obama’s lie: I will be the most transparent president ever and my administration will be the most honest.
    Fact: Ha ha.
    Has he forgotten his imposition of executive privilege for Fast and Furious?
    Has he forgotten his promise that the stimulus would keep unemployment below 8%?
    Has he forgotten that his Justice department has challenged numerous states on voter documentation in order to provide more votes for Obama?

    Lie:  Romney is not a good person, and maybe is even a felon.

    Fact:  Governor Romney donated his inheritance  to private charities and then went on to earn his own fortune.  Governor Romney donated his time to save the Olympics.  Governor Romney has tithed to his church throughout his life.

    Obama?  Well, he says he is FOR the people.  Ummm hmmmmm.   His “love” of us surely explains his lavish vacations, his frequent golf outings, his wife and children’s trips to exotic places, his expensive “date” night in New York.  Our tax dollars have kept Obama and his family, and many of his friends/donors, living the good life while Americans struggle to find jobs and make ends meet.

    Many have attempted to deny these charges and claim that Obama’s opposition are being racist.  However, the lies told by Obama are not based on his skin color.  The lies are part of his character and, as such, should be a warning to anyone who will listen.

    The truth is that President Obama is the epitome of everything that is wrong with Chicago politics.  He might not be a Capone, but he IS a Blagoavich….and, maybe worse. No matter how the Democrats try to deflect the horrible job done by Obama, they are just spinning and lying about the facts.  And, President Obama is leading the pack……..he is definitely a Chicago Holligan.

    Catholics, most religions, and those with a conscience,  have always supported the Right to Life for EVERYONE !  Babies, the most helpless of all human Life, are especially vulnerable and, yet, are considered disposable by far too many people who themselves have already managed to escape abortion.

    Now, President Obama and his Death Squad have determined that Catholic institutions must not only allow, but pay for, abortions.  It’s immaterial whether the Catholic institution or the company that insures the institution pays the bill.  Obama and his devilish minions would have us believe that the cost will NOT come back to the Catholic institution or any group that is granted the infamous “waiver”.  Well, that is the same mob who claim that abortion is not murder, but  the RIGHT to choose.

    Of course, nobody has yet asked the baby whether it wants to live or not.  What about the baby’s rights?

    I am so glad that the Catholic church has finally realized what Obama is up to.  Obama wants to be the Commander-in-Chief of us all!  He wants to decide who lives or dies.

    Everyone, not only the Catholic church, must demand the Right to Life for everyone, especially our tiny, helpless babies.  And, even if President Obama appears like  Goliath with all his media  and self-serving buddies,  God is surely on our side.

    Obama expresses ‘deep regret’ over Koran burning

     

    Well, it’s the beginning of another day, and another chance for President Obama to insult America!

    By sending “his” regrets, President Obama has once again bought into Muslim anger over the Koran burning even while he is actively pressuring Pro-Life groups to pay for medical procedures they vehemently oppose.  So, Obama sends his “regrets” to Karzai and yet he gives his finger to Catholics.  Sounds about right for our PC President!

    Can’t any of our public figures, especially our President, stand up for American and Christian values?

    Why are Muslims allowed to censor anybody, anywhere, and for anything they find “offensive” ?  Personally, I find it offensive when Muslims try to thwart American laws and yet, they still want all the rights of American citizenship.  I find it offensive when our President bows to foreign rulers, as if America must be subject to their values and culture systems.  I find it offensive that every word I say, and every thing I write, and everything in the public arena, must conform to Muslim values.

    It’s time for President Obama to stand up for America and Americans. Rather than send regrets,  Obama HAS to demand reparations for the two American soldiers killed in reprisal for the burning of the Korans.  It’s time for Obama to praise America and her universal generosity with our soldiers’ lives and with our donations.  Obama HAS to celebrate America for its immediate concern for others in times of war and in times of natural disasters than America.

    Regretfully, Obama will not do this.  Regretfully, Obama wants to blame America for all the ills of the world.  Regretfully, Obama wants to destroy American values and superimpose the failed policies of other countries.  Regretfully, Obama has one more year to extend high unemployment, a recession from his uninformed economic policies, and his tax and spend policies.

    Regretfully………………..our country needs help and, regretfully, we only have Obama!

    President Obama and his attorney general, Eric Holder,continually attempt  to thwart the immigration laws of the United States.  Unfortunately, Obama is interested only in the votes that the Hispanic community will bring him, not the welfare of the USA.

    But, now his blatant efforts to subvert our country’s immigration laws has hit a new low.  While his efforts to give illegals more rights than even citizens enjoy, he  has now decided to form a hotline for these same illegals in the hopes that they can avoid facing the penalties for their illegal presence in our country and, in the future, gain Obama more votes.

    This is not only an obvious political ploy, it is also illegal.  Because, after all, anyone who knowingly aids a felon or felonious act becomes an accessory and faces the same legal penalties.

    All law-abiding Americans should tell president Obama to follow the laws he swore to uphold, including the laws against illegal aliens even when it might benefit a vote-hungry President.

    Has anyone ever wondered if legislators are paid too much?  Well, here’s a representative who is paid WAY too much and can throw money away.  Oh, yes, Pelosi has a LOT of spare cash if she can spend $10,000 per night just to stay in a hotel in Haiwaii.

    And, ANYONE who can afford to pay $10,000 per night for a hotel room had better not complain to me or anyone else about “those who aren’t paying their fair share.”

    There is a reason that most Americans don’t trust PBS and are encouraging any taxpayer funding to be stopped.

    There is a reason that President Obama wants to continue funding this liberal media.

    That reason was obvious when Obama misrepresented Lincoln’s early party affiliation. Here is what the American Thinker wrote:

    At one point Mr. Obama made a major gaffe; he identified Abraham Lincoln as the founder of the Republican Party.

    Lincoln did not join the Republicans until 1856, over two years after the party was founded. The first Republican convention was held in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854.

    Such a gaffe would have brought huge amounts of ridicule and derision on George W. Bush, but in the case of Obama the media yawned.

    Actually, they did more than yawn; government-funded PBS has altered the transcript of the President’s speech, removing the offending comment.
